MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS TO BE HELD IN EARLY OCTOBER

Campaign signs and advertisements are springing up from one end of Alaska to the other as the municipal elections season arrives.  There will be many important decisions made concerning local issues.  Everyone is encouraged to spend a little time prior to the election and make INFORMED decisions.   Study each candidate or issue to make sure you understand their impact on your everyday life.

Many of the municipalities, candidates, and proposition supporters/opposition have information available on their web sites.  The Alaska Public Offices Commission (APOC) has a list of campaign contributions, which can be interesting reading on a chilly fall evening!
