CAMEL'S NOSE UNDER THE PERMANENT FUND TENT...again!

Last week SB 98 passed the legislature.  This is called a 'supplemental' budget bill, but looks more like a grab bag of spending.  Click on the link above to see how much is being spent and where our money is going!  SB 98 included $7,192,500 for pipeline related spending using earnings of the Permanent Fund.

An amendment was introduced to remove PFD money from SB 98.  Amendment number 1 failed by a vote of 23 to 15.  A 'Yea' vote would have removed PFD money from SB 98.  Those voting 'Nay' were indicating there support of spending PFD money for pipeline projects.  See how YOUR legislators voted on Amendment Number 1.

FOR ONE MORE YEAR, BUT MAJORITY SAID NO!

During debate on SB 98 an amendment was introduced to fund longevity bonus for FY 2006.  Amendment number 9 failed by a vote of 14 to 24.  Legislators voting 'Yea' were indicating support for funding the longevity bonus program.  See how YOUR legislators voted on Amendment Number 9.
