They are considering a cash out to
all qualified. I do not agree with this. I know of parents that use
the child's dividend for themselves, which is necessary in some
cases, but not in others. A Childs dividend should be saved for the
child's future.
ONLY IN EXTREME CASES, SHOULD A
PARENT BE ALLOWED TO SPEND THE CHILDS DIVIDEND AND AT THAT TIME, IT
SHOULD BE FOR THE CHILDS NEEDS.
I feel that some parents would
receive the money and use it for themselves and the child would get
nothing. Take five children for example and a 20,000.00 dollar
payout. If they have two parents? They would receive close to
140,000.00 dollars before tax deductions. Consider the children are
all minors and the parents buy a new home, sports car the boat they
want or drugs they don't need. What does the child have in the
future?
We need to consider the children.
They have been included in receiving a dividend, but have no
voice? OR DO THEY?
