"An Informed Voter Is The Best Defense Against Bad Government"

"We do not need the Committee of Fifty Five to vote for us"

We do not need the Committee of Fifty-five to vote for us.   Alaskans can vote for whether or not they wish the state to have Permanent Fund money.  How?  When any Alaskan receives their Permanent Fund check they can send it back to the state treasury  This committee does not represent Alaskans.  Perhaps only three of them need a check from the Permanent Fund.  However, there are families that NEED this income.  Any reduction in the permanent fund check is a tax on Alaskan children.  The check improves their quality of life.  

 

As long as the Alaskan legislature spends our money on duplicate capitols, Juneau and Anchorage, we may be sure that they are not serious about trimming the cost of state government.  Remember every state office is here in Anchorage. 

 

Please do not write any more letters telling the readers that you want the permanent fund money to go to the state.  Just send your money back and be done with it.  Please do not ask your Senator or Representative to take everyone’s money to spend as the state government wishes. Put your money where your mouth is and return your check to the state.  Thus is freedom of choice exercised in it’s finest form.
